TARA,
WINERY AND EXPERIENCE CENTER
Dating back to the 18th century, the Domaine de Tara was for a long time a staging post for travelers, merchants and the transport of ochre, and later housed a mixed farm. But it was under the impetus ofAnselme Selosse in the 1990s that Tara really took off. Recognizing the terroir’s similarities to his native Champagne, Anselme saw the potential to reveal exceptional Ventoux white wines, both expressive and elegant. Over time, new, generous and fruity red grape varieties were planted, and the first winery was built.
Today, Guillaume and François-Julien Vermersch, two committed brothers of Anjou origin united by their shared passion for fine wines, are passing on the baton and working for Tara, with respect for the environment and people. Under their aegis, the Domaine strengthens its commitment to nature, converts toorganic farming and invests in a new winery to better meet the needs of the wines and bioclimatic challenges. Guillaume and François-Julien have thus imagined the future, building a virtuous, sustainable vineyard and an estate that can be passed on from generation to generation…
In 2024, Tara returns to 3 centuries of history and once again becomes a place to visit, rest and share. A site that invites every guest to take a break and enjoy a beautiful moment, out of time, conducive to discovery, tasting and authentic human exchanges. Domaine de Tara offers an idyllic setting and quality wines that reveal all the facets of the Ventoux PDO in white, red and rosé.
The “soul” of Tara is also the men and women who bring it to life: Guillaume, François-Julien, Pascale and Mathieu and the whole family on the estate all year round. Together, they invite you to enjoy unique experiences where your senses will be awakened by the discovery of local products: wines, honey, olive oil, organic syrups… and numerous events combining beauty and art of living: exhibitions, themed evenings, guided tours…
