Hautes Pierres White 2005. A deep straw yellow colour with aromas that recall wild herbs and wood smoke. What an explosive start! Flavours of dried fruits, ginger and white pepper palate. Grenache and Roussanne make a powerful tandem, to serve with bouillabaisse for example (Terre de Vins, September 2007) Terre d’Ocres Red 2005. Ruby garnet colour with delicate ruby violet highlights. Intense bouquet with scents reminiscent of fresh fruits, morel cherries, hints of spices and toasted aromas. Medium body, fresh palate with good acidity, not very tannic. 75/100 (Winelove, Milan, May 2007) Hautes Pierres Red 2004 (** two stars). Tara, does it ring a bell? Indeed, the Domaine was called Tara as a token to Margaret Mitchell’s novel “Gone with the wind”. Situated in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park, Tara presents a wine that is matured in French oak barrels for one year with toasty oak flavours and hints of spices together with a remarkable balance between density and alcohol. Powerful without excess, dense without excessive weight, a harmonious cuvée which should gain in harmony in approximately one year (Guide Hachette 2008). Hautes Pierres Red 2004. Intense ruby garnet colour with purple tones. Concentrated bouquet with scents reminiscent of ripe cherry and red fruits. A powerful style, beautiful extraction of ripe fruits with ample and long structure. A beautiful wine. (Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2008). Hautes Pierres White 2003. Bright straw yellow colour. Intense bouquet with scents reminiscent of honey, liquorice, flowers and dried fruits. Powerful palate, ample and well balanced. To be served with white meat. 86/100 (Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2008) Terre d’Ocres White 2003. In the category of the first great wines this year. Domaine of 10 hectares. Very much appreciated Red Hautes Pierres Côtes du Ventoux 2003 mostly based on Syrah and matured in French oak barrels for one year. The White Hautes Pierres Côtes du Ventoux 2003 is also very attractive, with a very pleasant palate. The White Terre d’Ocres 2003 (matured in stainless steel tanks for 6 months) is fresh and fruity, with fruit and floral tones. Why resist? (Guide Dussert-Gerbert 2006) Hautes Pierres Red 2001. Deep garnet colour. Delicate bouquet with aromas of fruits and spices and hints of oak. Full and well balanced palate, well supported by young tannins. A long finish, a wine of beautiful complexity based mainly on Syrah. To be left and forgotten in a cellar for a few years. 16/20 (Guide Fleurus 2005) Hautes Pierres White 2001 (****). Nice colour with sunny glints. A very expressive bouquet with scents reminiscent of flowers and yellow fruits and hints of almonds and stones. Smooth and well-balanced palate (Gault et Millau, Vins du mois, January 2004). Hautes Pierres White 2000. Intense straw yellow colour with golden glints. The bouquet is intense and elegant, offering aromas of honey, toasted almonds and ripe fruits. Full and well balanced palate with good aromatic complexity. A long finish with hints of grapefruit. Ample and complex, the most beautiful white wine of the region! 17/20 (Guide Fleurus 2005)
