Dussert & Gerber 2018

“An 11 ha vineyard, planted on an East-facing hillside at 250m above sea level, on calcareous – tufaceous clay that offers excellent drainage. The estate, which goes back to the eighteenth century, is located in the southern Rhone Valley, the heart of the Luberon Regional Park. The vineyard, classified Ventoux is located at the foot of the village of Roussillon.
The Hautes Pierres Rouge 2014, mainly Syrah (80 %) with Red Grenache 20%, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, is a great success, intense, full bodied, offering blackberry, raspberry and spice aromas, combining delicacy and structure, with silky, powerful and tasty tannins. Excellent ageing.
Delicate Ventoux Hautes Pierres white 2015, 56% Grenache and 44% Roussanne, vinified and aged in oak barrels for a year.  Lovely wine with hints of peach on the palate. Rich, lingering, perfumed and structured on the nose, melts in the mouth. To be served with goatfish or scallops.
The Ventoux Terre d’Ocres white 2016, made of White Grenache 70% and Clairette 30% is  very well balanced, lively, floral, harmonious on the nose, with dry-up fruit and acacia flower aromas on the mouth.
You must taste the Ventoux Terre d’Ocres Rouge 2016 made of 50% Grenache and 50% Carignan, a typical wine of the appellation, associating color and structure, with mainly fruit aromas along with humus aromas on the mouth and the Terre d’Ocres Rosé 2016 with its rose flower and plum aromas, generous and round, associating a fruity taste and a nice finish on the palate.
