Dussert & Gerber 2019

“An 11 ha vineyard, planted on an East-facing hillside at 250m above sea level, on calcareous – tufaceous clay that offers excellent drainage. The estate, which goes back to the eighteenth century, is located in the southern Rhone Valley, the heart of the Luberon Regional Park. The vineyard, classified Ventoux is located at the foot of the village of Roussillon.

The Hautes Pierres Rouge 2014, mainly Syrah (80 %) with Red Grenache 20%, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, is a great success, intense, full bodied, offering blackberry, raspberry and spice aromas, combining delicacy and structure, with silky, powerful and tasty tannins. Excellent ageing.

Outstanding Ventoux Terre d’Ocres Rouge 2017, 40% Red Grenache, 20% Carignan and 40% Syrah, with aromas of overripe red fruits on the nose (plum, currant) and violet, well structured, powerful on the nose as well as on the palate.

Very agreeable Ventoux Terre d’Ocres Blanc 2017, 70% White Grenache and 30% Clairette, beautiful structure and scents, with a hint of peach, melts in the mouth, full of elegance and long lasting aromas.

Flavourful IGP Vaucluse Terre d’Ocres Rosé 2017, 50% Grenache noir, 30% Carignan and 20% Syrah, with floral notes and a pleasant, floral, nervous tip, subtly spicy on the palate.

And this Éclat(s) de Tara Blanc, traditional method, sparkling wine, 50% Clairette and 50% White Grenache. Nice sparkle and tingles in the mouth, to be perfectly paired with macaroons. ”
